The International Classical Theater Festival of Mérida presents the fifth edition of the Mérida Festival in Madrid. On this occasion, the plays chosen to be staged in the capital are La tumba de Antígona, Clitemnestra, Cayo César and El aroma de Roma.
For Jesús Cimarro, director of the Mérida Festival, “it is essential to maintain this location in Madrid because it allows us to value and show the public that has yet to travel to Extremadura some of the most interesting Greco-Latin or Greco-Roman works that are scheduled in Mérida”.
In this edition, the Reina Victoria and Bellas Artes theaters open their doors to four shows. The Reina Victoria Theater will host Cayo César from June 7 to 11 as well as the musical El Aroma de Roma which will stay in the capital from June to July 30. The Bellas Artes Theater will host La tumba de Antígona from June 14 to 18 and Clytemnestra from June 21 to 25.
